There is so much to discover and discuss in the new technologies’ space. This blog is for the community of entrepreneurs, consultants, financiers, economists, and players in Web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, in new media, software, cloud and social networking markets.
I am so lucky. I have the best job. Not just because it’s my own company (I’ve never had a “real job”), but because I have the most dynamic entrepreneurs as clients and the most interesting early-stage, early vision technology companies to launch and grow.
And, even more than that, I get to contribute to the fulfillment of an entrepreneur’s dream of a first (or second, or third) new idea and make it into a company. And if we do well, then we get to go on to the next idea and the one after that.
It is so exciting to build the next new thing, to get on the E ticket ride, and ultimately sell the business, take it public, or even keep it as an ongoing concern that spins off new companies.
It isn’t so much about wealth creation (although that counts too, as it offers a kind of freedom) as it is about the freedom to create your own ideas, your own lifestyle, your own meaning from your work in the world. I get to do that with entrepreneurs; and together we get to do it with their ideas.
I have always been concerned that the insights gained from my community and my consulting work, were only available to my rather limited group of long-term and current clients. I couldn’t share the new information broadly enough, even though I published broadly and spoke frequently (and still do).
But this is now. Now we can all share. I welcome your participation.
